Advertising disclosures

Policy current September 22, 2026

Google AdSense integration is installed.

The site provides Google with the publisher verification tag and authorized-seller record needed for AdSense review. Advertisements can appear after Google approves the site, Auto ads or ad units are enabled, and the required regional consent messages are active. EO Explained does not publish sponsored order guides or affiliate links.

Editorial independence

Advertising must never determine which orders are covered or affect evidence states, sources, summaries, status wording, corrections or legal conclusions. Advertisements are not government sources, evidence for a guide or editorial recommendations.

Privacy and control

Advertising may involve cookies, local storage and the processing of device or usage information. The privacy notice explains these technologies, personalised-ad controls and the consent choices that apply. Visitors can also open Google Ads Settings (opens in a new tab).

Advertising, revenue, and editorial limits

EO Explained is monetized with Google AdSense. Ads may be selected and displayed by Google using its advertising systems and the consent choices available in a visitor’s region. An ad appearing beside an order guide does not mean the publisher endorses the advertiser, product, service, or political position. Visitors can review the privacy policy for information about cookies, consent, and third-party processing.

The site does not use affiliate links. It does not earn a commission when a reader follows an order source, buys a product, or visits an agency or publisher. It also does not sell sponsored explanations, paid rankings, favorable status treatment, or placement in the archive. Official documents and agency records are linked because they are evidence for the guide, not because those organizations paid for a referral.

Advertising decisions are kept apart from research and editing. Advertisers do not select which orders are covered, approve article language, choose source labels, or determine whether an order is marked in effect, revoked, completed, superseded, partly revoked, or blocked by a court. Editorial judgments follow the source record and may be revised when a new order, court ruling, agency action, or reliable correction changes what readers need to know.

Ad delivery can vary by location, consent, device, Google review, and available inventory. A blank ad area does not change the content or access to a guide. If an advertisement appears to interfere with reading, obscure content, or behave in a misleading way, report the page and describe what happened at webmaster@eoexplained.com. The report helps us distinguish a layout issue from an ad supplied by a third party.
