What does Executive Order 13829 do?
EO 13829 established a Treasury-led task force with OMB and OPM to study USPS operations, finances, pricing and obligations, consult postal leaders and stakeholders, and recommend administrative or legislative reforms. Treasury submitted findings in August 2018 and published its full report in December. The order did not itself change postage rates, postal service levels or pension law; those recommendations required separate authorized action.
