Executive Order 13127: Amendment to Executive Order 13073, Year 2000 Conversion
President: Bill Clinton
Added a GSA Information Coordination Center for federal and public-private Year 2000 readiness and recovery coordination.
Status: Revoked. Is Executive Order 13127 still in effect? No. Executive Order 13127 was revoked. See Executive Order 13225: Continuance of Certain Federal Advisory Committees, Federal Register record.
What does Executive Order 13127 do?
EO 13127 amended EO 13073 to create an Information Coordination Center in GSA for the Year 2000 Conversion Council. At the Chair’s direction, the center was to support information sharing across government and with key public and private organizations, coordinate agency assessments of Y2K emergencies, and assist recovery or system reconstitution where necessary. The function addressed the 1999–2000 computer-date transition. EO 13073, the parent order, was revoked by EO 13225 on September 28, 2001, so EO 13127 does not establish a standing emergency coordination center today.
