Executive Order 13560: White House Council for Community Solutions

President: Barack Obama

Created a temporary private-sector advisory council to promote community-led solutions to social problems.

Status: Revoked.

Is Executive Order 13560 still in effect? No. Revoked and superseded by EO 13748 in November 2016 after completing its advisory work.

What does Executive Order 13560 do?

EO 13560 placed a 30-member advisory council at the Corporation for National and Community Service. It gathered evidence and recommended ways government, philanthropy, business and nonprofits could support local solutions, especially for disconnected young people. The council delivered its final report in 2012; EO 13748 later revoked and superseded the order.

Later evidence reviewed September 23, 2026: EO 13748 revoked and superseded EO 13560. Obama White House archive — EO 13748. This later record documents the stated step; it does not by itself establish every downstream agency action or legal outcome.

Administration position: The council advised and convened; it did not award benefits, compel private participation or direct agencies.
