Status: Completed/expired. Is Executive Order 13631 still in effect? No. Executive Order 13631 is completed or expired. See Federal Register record.

What does Executive Order 13631 do?

EO 13631 reestablished the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative and Public Health after its earlier authorization expired. The group advised the National Prevention Council on the Affordable Care Act’s prevention strategy and included experts from outside government. Later continuation orders kept it operating through September 30, 2017; no further continuation followed, so the group ended while the underlying statutory prevention provisions remained.

Administration position: The advisory group could recommend policy but could not regulate health care, appropriate money or bind federal agencies.
