Executive Order 14350: Further Extending the TikTok Enforcement Delay
President: Donald J. Trump
Extended temporary non-enforcement of the TikTok divestiture law until December 2025.
Status: In effect. Is Executive Order 14350 still in effect? Yes. Executive Order 14350 remains in effect. See Federal Register record.

What does Executive Order 14350 do?
EO 14352 cited EO 14350 and set out a later TikTok transaction and implementation approach in September 2025.
Reading the operative provisions of Executive Order 14350
EO 14350 extended the Attorney General’s temporary non-enforcement direction under the TikTok divest-or-ban statute until December 2025. It gave additional time for a transaction or other resolution while preserving the underlying law. The Federal Register text of EO 14350 sets the extension period and applies to specified enforcement against covered parties.
The order did not repeal the statutory divestiture requirement or establish that a proposed transaction satisfied it. A sale would need to meet the statute’s definition of a qualified divestiture and address ownership, control, data access and operational independence. The Attorney General’s non-enforcement direction provided a temporary pause, but companies and service providers still had to monitor the statute and later executive actions.
EO 14352, issued afterward, set out a proposed framework for saving TikTok and further altered enforcement timing. The two orders should be read chronologically: EO 14350 extended an earlier pause, while the later order addressed a specific proposed resolution. The temporary deadline has passed, so EO 14350’s historical period should not be treated as the present deadline. Current status depends on the later order, the statute and any final transaction records.
