Executive Order 12921: Amendment to Executive Order No. 12864
President: Bill Clinton
Raised the National Information Infrastructure advisory council’s membership ceiling from 30 to 37.
Status: Revoked.
Is Executive Order 12921 still in effect? No. Ended when EO 13062 revoked EO 12864 as amended in 1997.
What does Executive Order 12921 do?
EO 12921 increased the advisory council on the National Information Infrastructure membership ceiling from 30 to 37 without changing its mission. In February 1996, President Clinton publicly discussed two reports the council had delivered, showing the parent advisory body continued its work after this amendment. The record does not establish that the additional seats caused those reports. EO 13062 revoked the parent order as amended in 1997.
