What does Executive Order 13062 do?

EO 13062 continued fifteen listed advisory committees to September 30, 1999, assigned their FACA administration to sponsoring agencies and revoked five completed committee orders. It superseded EO 12974, raised the digital-TV advisory committee membership cap from 15 to 22, and revised the American Institute in Taiwan family-member appointment provision of EO 13054. EO 13138 later superseded sections 1 through 4; the separate amendments must be traced through their parent orders.

Administration position: Committee continuation and membership changes did not make advisory recommendations binding or guarantee federal employment.
