Executive Order 13780: Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States
President: Donald J. Trump
Revised entry and refugee-screening restrictions, replacing EO 13769 with country-specific suspensions and additional review procedures.
Status: Revoked.
Is Executive Order 13780 still in effect? No. Revoked by Proclamation 10141 on January 20, 2021.
What does Executive Order 13780 do?
EO 13780 suspended entry for nationals of six countries for 90 days, paused refugee admissions for 120 days and required a review of screening and information-sharing practices. The order included exceptions and case-by-case waivers; its section 13 revoked EO 13769 effective March 16, 2017. Proclamation 10141 expressly revoked EO 13780 in January 2021.
Before and after
Before the order
