What does Executive Order 13640 do?
EO 13640 continued the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, established under EO 13498, for two years from April 5, 2013 unless extended again. The council advised on government partnerships with faith-based and other neighborhood organizations. EO 13708 later continued it under the federal advisory committee schedule, and a 2016 Health and Human Services notice documents further council meetings. EO 13831 revoked the 2009 parent order and established a different faith-and-opportunity framework in 2018. EO 13640 did not concern the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition.
